The purpose of energy work may differ depending on the modality being used. Some energy work balances the body's energy fields. Other types of energy work can be used to repair problems in the body's energy fields, and to bring healing energy to places in the body where there is dis-ease. Energy work can range from hands on-the-body treatment to subtle, indirect, off-the-body treatment, to absentee or distant energy work.

Different types of energy work are:

PolarityTherapy is a way to balance the body's energy field. The technique ranges from hands on-the-body, where there can be deep finger pressure into a specific area, to off-the-body treatment, where the hands are held slightly above the area being worked on.

Reiki, the Usui System of Natural Healing, which provides the therapist and client with a means to access directly their own true source of energy and healing. Reiki healing energy can be transmitted directly by the hands-on method or "sent" to a person not present.

Esoteric Healing balances the organs, glands, and major body systems to the energy centers of the body which govern them. The work is done in the body's subtle energy fields where it is believed that disease first occurs. This type of healing can also be done with hands-on or hands-off the body.

Reconnective Healing® This approach to healing is often a life-changing experience, utilizing new frequencies to allow for the healing of the body, mind, and spirit.
