The Five Steps to Greatly Increase Your Time Management Skills Announced by Hale Dwoskin, Featured Teacher in the #1 Mega-Bestseller 'The Secret&
Sedona, AZ (PRWEB) June 6, 2007 -- Hale Dwoskin, founder of The Sedona Method and a featured teacher in the #1 blockbuster bestselling book and movie, "The Secret," has just announced the "Five Steps to Greatly Increase Your Time Management Skills."
"When's the last time there was an entirely free weekend around the house? How about the luxury of a two-week vacation? Can't remember? It's likely because - be honest - there's not much time left after working the equivalent to several full-time jobs at just one paying job, raising children, tending to a spouse, caring for aging parents, managing the household and juggling any other number of daily tasks," said Dwoskin. "If just thinking about a to-do list for tomorrow (Don't have one? Keep reading to find out why everyone should) is enough to send you crawling under the bed sheets to hide, then it's time to devote some serious attention to learning time management skills. Don't worry, it's simple. Take a look at the steps below to get all the information needed to make the most of any day - and still have some time to relax."
1. Stop Rushing. This is the number one thing a person can do to use their time to their best advantage, according to Hale Dwoskin, CEO and director of training of Sedona Training Associates.
"We live in a very fast-paced world. We are constantly running past the moment and missing what is actually here now. If you allow yourself to slow down and notice what is here now - as learned in The Sedona Method, your sense of time expands and you get more done," Dwoskin says.
2. Create a To-Do List. Think of how much time is wasted just trying to remember what needs to get done. In the late afternoon or early evening (such as before leaving the office for the day), create a to-do list for the next day. This way, all obligations are down on paper, not racing randomly through the mind, and, come tomorrow, there will be a clear plan for what needs to be accomplished.
3. Believe There IS Enough Time. According to Dwoskin, "Approach each task as though you have all the time in the world. If you approach the task from a feeling of scarcity about time that is what you will manifest, and that is what you will experience. In fact if you know you have enough time you can still get things done quickly, but you will do it more effectively and with a lot less stress."
If someone's having trouble believing that they have enough time, the scientifically proven Sedona Method shows a person how to tap their natural ability to let go of the underlying feelings of anxiety, fear and more . Once these negative thoughts are let go, a person will be able to accomplish their tasks in a calm, but very productive way.
4. Say "NO" Sometimes. Look back over the past week, how much time was spent doing tasks for other people? For most of us, it's a lot. Now, helping others should definitely be a priority in life, just not to the point where one's personal sanity is suffering. Learning to say "no" (to the church bake sale, mother-in-law's suggestion to start a neighborhood book club, that mammoth scrapbook project) is essential to learning effective time management.
5. Set Aside Some "Play" Time. Even adults still need time to play - everyday. In the to-do list be sure to schedule in some fun time, such as lounging in the tub, calling a friend or taking a yoga class. Embrace the designated playtime and let everyone know that it's non-negotiable!
Right now everyone can get the free Insiders Guide to The Sedona Method email course sampler by inputting their name and email in the sidebar on the right at www.sedona.com/html/lp-timemanagement.aspx.
